Summer, 3AC

The work on the Harbor is almost completed now. Our brave group returned from their sea travels with reports of lush islands not far to the east. Many of our newer citizens are hoping to settle some of the land on the islands for their homes. Sometimes it seems as though we are going to outgrow what started out as a rather small community!

A messenger has come from the Sapphire Coast region. It seems that they have had some thefts there recently, and two of their villagers have disappeared. While it is hard to believe that Newton and Roderick would actually steal from their friends, their sudden disappearance looks damning. Search parties have been unable to locate them and it is believed that they have headed west toward Gideon and the forest.

Reports have come from the southwest, verifying the existence of ancient ruins and graveyards. After the tragic outcome of our first explorers, however, the people are hesitant to enter the marshlands and swamps to explore further.
